Team Philippaerts was present in Gothenburg last weekend, not only in the ring, but also in the top 5 of the result list. Olivier (H&M Legend of Love) and  Nicola (H&M Harley v/d Bisschop) ended 2nd and 4th in the World Cup (CSI 5* 1,60m). After a clear first round, they also jumped clear in the jump-off. A great performance, and the weekend couldn’t be much better since their partner H&M was there with them.

Olivier and H&M Legend of Love clocked a time of 37.42 seconds, 0.73 seconds too slow to beat the winner, Henrik von Eckermann. “Nicola and I achieved some very good results,” says Olivier “I was the one last to start in the jump-off. Legend and I gave all of us to win. Unfortunately, it was just a split second too slow. I would have loved to win here, but I’ll remember this performance. Legend jumps steady, so we can only hope for the best the next few months.” The top 18 of the final result can go to the finals in Paris in April.  Olivier just finished 19th.  Anyway,  he got some good news, “After the press conference, I found out that I am still selected to go straight to Paris. A great goal to work towards.”.

He showed everyone who’s the fastest…”, smiles Nicola, who finished the jump-off in 37.62 seconds. “I’m very happy for Olivier, for Harley and off course for myself. The last 4 days, Harley jumped 3 times and got 1 day off. Every time he got into action, he was clear. He’s moving forward to his best level. Pretty promising with the outdoor season getting closer.  We started 7th in the jump-off,, we ended up 3rd. We did good, but to win, it has to be perfect. Look at the time differences, they are negligible.”.
