London Knights capture overall season title Longines Global Champions League
Nicola finishes 3rd in de Longines Global Champions Tour

Nicola, Olivier and their teammates Ben Maher, Martin Fuchs en Emily Moffitt won the last leg of the Longines Global Champions League. Their team, the London Knights won 5 out of 18 competitions this year. Ben and Nicola were the best riders in Doha last weekend. Nicola placed 3rd in the overall standings of the Longines Global Champions Tour 2018.

What a wonderful season the Longines Global Champions League it has been for Nicola... In June, he won in Cascais with his former partner H&M Harley v/d Bisschop. One month later, he topped all the others with Chilli Willi in Chantilly. Last Saturday, Ben and Explosion W teamed up with Nicola  and H&M Chilli Willi to produce two double clear rounds to secure the overall Global Champions League championship for London Knights. In the end, they were the only 2 combinations with a double clear round.

“It was an amazing season, a Grand Cru.”, says Nicola. “I claimed a stage position noot only in the Global Champions League but also in the Longines Global Champions Tour. This gives me trust. I’m already looking forward to the final in Prague in December. My horses really jumped incredible this year. This resulted in a 3rd place in the individual ranking and a 1st place in the overall rankings with the London Knights.

Meanwhile, Olivier was in Sentower Park. Anyway, he shared the joy, “This is a stunning result. The ultimate reward after a long and beautiful season. Halfway the ciruit, we took the lead and our team managed to hold the ranking lead throughout most of the season of the global circuit. Not that easy, since all results throughout the 18 competitions count. But we had a great and consistent team, this does not only count for the riders but also for the horses. I’m looking forward to the final in Prague, where we can add some sparkles to our victory.”, says Olivier.

The upcoming week, Nicola takes a bit of rest. Olivier goes to the World Cup in Stuttgart with H&M Legend of Love. Athony & Thibault on the other hand go to the indoor Youth Festival in Sentower.
