Olivier Philippaerts and his partner H&M Legend of Love finished fifth in the World Cup of Zurich. A terrific performance from both of them. They concluded the World Cup with a clear jump-off, just like their first round. With 20 points gathered, Olivier takes up the 34th place in the World Cup ranking.
After his shoulder injury, a qualification for the World Cup Finals in Paris became a real challenge. After gathering points in London, Mechelen and Zurich, he starts adapting his ambitons: “I stopped focusing on an eventual final, but I take it competition by competition. A qualification for the World Cup Finals are still possible and if the opportunity presents itself, I will certainly take the chance and go for it. After a well-deserved break, H&M Legend of Love is growing rapidly to his top. Yesterdays’ clear rounds are proof of this.”.
During the next three weeks, Olivier can be found in the States. “I’m taking H&M Ikker and Cancarra with me. We scheduled a few nice outdoor showjumpings, including the Palm Beach Masters, where we might catch some extra points for the World Cup. At the end of february, I am leaving to Gothenburg for the last World Cup selections. It would be amazing to get the qualification for the World Cup Finals in Paris in the presence of my loyal partner H&M.”
