Four young men in the stable, what do they need? "Food!" Shouts Thibault enthusiastically. But what else? We've described for you the must-haves for us, as professional riders, in the stable.
"For me , first of all, a good saddle is essential for comfort while riding. That's personal for many, but I prefer the Classic Close Contact saddle," Thibault continues. Also important while riding, and often underestimated: good boots. "I always choose Parlanti, they're supple and don't bother me. Especially the KK ones are my favorite, they're just heavenly. Lastly, something I'm always very grateful for, are the Veredus leg protectors, they're truly vital."
"When it comes to my essentials in the stable, I can't do without my All-In (H&M) riding breeches," Nicola takes over. "Thibault forgot something important: a good bridle. For me, nothing beats my CWD bridles. I have a French noseband training bridle, ideal for training at home. Also, blankets from a trusted brand are important, from sweat blankets to sturdy winter blankets, Veredus is our go-to brand. Another, daily used tool is a manure fork. We have several Rubco ones at home," Nicola concludes.
"What do I need in the stable? In recent months, my All In (H&M) winter jacket has definitely been a must-have for me, especially during the colder months. And my Roeckl gloves are also indispensable, they go everywhere with me. Of course, I choose a different type every season. This pro model is standard for competitions, and this lite model is my favorite during summer training sessions. In winter, the one with fleece provides extra comfort," Olivier continues.
Anthony wraps up the list with some important items that haven't been mentioned yet. "In the stable, a good helmet is essential, which is why I swear by my Dogma-Chrome Kask. Furthermore, my brothers have forgotten the ultimate must-have in our sport," Anthony laughs. "How about a horse? Essential, right? A good horse is even better. And to complete it, I always like to have Cavalor treats on hand as a reward."
