This Sunday, Gothenburg, the World Cup… The last leg of the League before the finals in Paris. After his training in Spain, Nicola looks forward to this World Cup, together with Chilli Willi. Also Olivier, who returns from his outdoor training in Wellington, can’t wait to be in the Swedish ring. Both of them jumped on the plane this morning.
After the partnership with H&M, Olivier and Nicola spend a lot of their time in Sweden. They might even call it their second home. “Even more,”, adds Nicola. “the show in Gothenburg will always have a special place in my heart. Not only because the Swedish public is so enthusiast, but also because I won my first, and so far also my last, World Cup here in Gothenburg in 2014.”.
The past few weeks, Nicola stayed in Oliva to prepare for the outdoor season. “The weather was perfect to prepare Chilli Willi and Bisquet Balou C for the big competitions that are about to come. After all this training, Chilli Willi and I start to crave for a show like this World Cup.”
The same goes for Olivier, who prepared himself and his horses for the outdoor season in Wellington. “Good weather with a lovely sunshine every day, the perfect circumstances to prepare for a long season. With H&M Ikker, I won not only the GP CSI 3* Qualifier, but also the GP itself. D. Cancarra AC, on the other hand, made a lot of progress as well. Last week, he jumped really good. H&M Legend of love will be my partner in the World Cup in Gothenburg. If I want to go to the finals in Paris, I have to end up 1st or 2nd... Quite a job… But I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself. We’ll try to make it to the jump-off. If we do so, everything is possible.”
