Olivier looks back at a successful edition of the Longines Masters of New York. He climbed up the stage twice on Friday, repeated it on Sunday and won with Team Europe the Masters on Saturday.
Olivier placed twice third during the second day of the Masters. Once with Insolente Des Dix Bonniers in the Longines Speed Challenge, once again with H&M Cue Channa 42 in the Prestige Italia Masters. And it got even better as team Europe won the Riders Masters Cup on Saturday Night. Olivier jumped with Insolente des Dix Bonniers. On Sunday, as cherry on the cake, Olivier and H&M Cue Channa rode two spotless rounds in the Grand Prix, followed by a clear jump-off. They took home a third bronze medal.
“I can’t be more than satisfied with my three medals and a victory for team Europe.”, says Olivier. “I never dared to think that I might get these results here after Mexico and Miami. I didn’t ride these horses myself during the two Global Tours. That means that they worked really hard at home as the horses were well prepared. So my brother Thibault has his share of this success. He worked hard and well. I’m so thankful for that. After three weeks in America, I’m looking forward to go home and take it a little easier.”.
