The center of the jumping world moves to Belgium this week. As of today, 5, 6, and 7 years old horses will compete for world titles in Zangersheide (Lanaken). Our senior riders will be strongly represented in the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championship for young horses and the Belgian Championship. In the meantime, Anthony and Thibault are striving for the title during the Nations Cup final in Peelbergen.
The Belgian Championships in Zangersheide will always be memorable, especially for Nicola. It has been 4 years since he took that title with his H&M Chilli Willi. Although it’s with mixed feelings, he’s truly looking forward to introducing the 9 years old Moya van de Bisschop at her first Belgian Championship. He’ll ride the World Breeding Championship with Extase Ste Hermelle, Klaartje and Onyx van het Bremenhof.
But it’s quite a special moment for Ludo too, riding his first Belgian and World Championship since his comeback. He's represented at the Belgian Championships with Mr Idol and he’ll ride the World Championship with Dhalida Diamant v. Krekebeke Z.
While Nicola rode Zayado during the Belgian Championships last year, Olivier enters the ring with him today. He’ll also ride young horses Etna du Chateau and Odiena van Berimar at the World Championship.
To level up the tension, the 2021 FEI Youth Nations Cup Jumping Final is also about to start at the Peelbergen Equestian Centre, in Kronenberg. Thibault takes Derby de Riverland and Cap, Anthony rides with J’Adore van het Schaeck and Jango S.
