Nicola and H&M Harley v/d Bisschop left Portugal with a big smile. They won the 8th leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour. With an advantage of 1,50 seconds in the jump-off, they were fast enough to beat Gregory Wathelet and Mjt Nevados S.
The LGCT last weekend took place in Cascais (Estoril). Only 8 combinations were able to start the jump-off. Gregory started as 5th in the jump-off and had the best time. Nicola and H&M Harley v/d Bisschop were right after him and caught him up.
Since this was their first victory in the Grand Prix of the LGCT, it was a very unique experience. This victory assures him from a ticket to Prague in December. He's in for the Finals!
“I am so happy to win here! Harly jumped unbelievable.” says Nicola with sparkling eyes after the ceremony. “We were really close in Madrid, but just missed our ticket to Prague. I went to the entrance a bit earlier to see Gregory. He was very quick, but we managed to do it just a little faster. I am honoured to go to Prague, since only 16 combinations are about to start.”
We are half way the LGCT. Thanks this victory, Nicola ends up 4th on the list.
On the other side of Europe, Olivier and his team mates won the CSIO 5* Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup. The Belgium Team took home the gold medal from Sopot (Poland). It wasn't that easy, but they did it! The strong riders, good tactic and top horses made it work.
We couldn't be more proud of our team!
