A star like no other, Chilli Willi
He hardly needs an introduction, right? At just 9 years old, Chilli Willi had already achieved several rankings in 1.60m GP CSI5*. Sadly, he never got the chance to reach his full potential, but his legacy lives on through his offspring. Father Casall achieved an impressive fourth place at both the World Championships and the European Championships, and has also claimed multiple Grand Prix victories and World Cup qualifications. His pedigree is just as remarkable, with grandfather Lord, the 1969 licensing champion, having produced countless international show jumping and dressage horses, including notables such as Livius, Lugana, Lord Caletto, Lord Z, and Lordon. Moreover, we see influential names such as Cor de la Bryere and Ramzes, who are considered foundations of breeding.
Chilli Willi's dam line also shows a strong pedigree. More than half of the offspring of dam Caletta VIII (sired by Lord) perform at the international level, including Camiro (sired by Cassini I) at 1.60m, L - Cinderella (sired by Carthago) at 1.50m, Never Forget (sired by Candillo) at 1.40m, among others. This line has also proven successful in breeding, with half-sisters of Chilli Willi producing horses such as Carlucci (sired by Carvallo BB) at 1.60m, Cardoso (sired by Cassini) at 1.50m, Glock’s Cognac Champblanc (sired by Clearway) at 1.60m, and many others. The diamond of the stable
Other qualities, other combinations: Le Blue Diamond, Olivier’s loyal partner. Le Blue Diamond Van’t Ruytershof is a remarkable stallion with an impressive pedigree. His father, Plot Blue, became world-famous for his success at the 1.60m level under the saddle of Marcus Ehning. Le Blue Diamond's dam, Diamanthina Van’t Ruytershof, also performed excellently at the highest level and is the full sister to the well-known Emerald Van’t Ruytershof.
Despite his relatively young age, Le Blue Diamond has already proven his hereditary qualities by producing approved stallions in his first offspring, such as Panter JVH, Quito Van den Aard, and Look-O-Look Z. His younger offspring stands out for their talent and character, strengthening his reputation as a sire of healthy and talented horses.
“As a riding horse, Le Blue Diamond is very accessible, exceptionally careful, and possesses an impressive ability with an excellent canter. His friendly character makes him easy to handle and a true pleasure to work with,” Olivier proudly says about his partner. Find out more about Le Blue Diamond here.
A noble future
Last, but certainly not least: Nobel van de Vrombautshoeve Z, a promising show jumping talent. As a direct son of the famous Nabab de Reve, he possesses a unique bloodline. Nabab de Reve shone with a bronze team medal at the World Equestrian Games in 2002 and is known as a proven sire of top-quality show jumping horses. Our Nobel clearly inherited his ability, technique, and attitude.
On the dam's side, we find Caria, a mare by Corrado I, known for his bloodlines and among others, siring the well-known stallion Clinton.
Nobel embodies dynamism, endurance, honesty, energy, and power. His achievements speak for themselves: from a fourth-place finish in the free jumping at the 3-year-old Z-festival to a faultless series at the Belgian Championship for 5-year-old horses, complemented by a strong appearance at the stallion competition in 2021. His impressive performance at the World Championship for 5-year-old horses promises a bright future in showjumping. Find out more about Nobel here.
We understand that choosing among so much talent is very difficult. Of course, it is important to make the right combination with your mare(s), so that the two bloodlines complement and strengthen each other beautifully. Would you like to order straws?
